Tombstone Open Meeting Law Violation

I have had the great pleasure of knowing Mike Carrafa, the owner of Six Gun City in Tombstone, for many years now. As you may, or may not, know, there have been several confrontations, both physical and non, lately between Mr. Carrafa and a number of other businesses in Tombstone. One of these encounters resulted in Mr. Carrafa being attacked. As a result, Mr. Carrafa filed an assault charge against the assailant. For some irrational reason, the town Marshall, Larry Talvy, has refused to file the charges with the County/State. So, Mr. Carrafa decided he would take the complaint to the Tombstone City Council in an effort to have theme FORCE the Marshall to DO HIS JOB (see the complaint here). Mr. Carrafa made the legal choice to video tape his portion of the Tombstone Council meeting on 10/13/2009. You can watch the video here (on our Video page).
While watching the video, you’ll see that Mr. Carrafa is asked to leave the meeting. I’ve done some research into the Arizona Open Meeting Law and the Tombstone Rules of Decorum and I can find no legitimate reason why Mr. Carrafa was ordered, and escorted, from the meeting. As a matter of fact, I see several violations of the Open Meeting Law by the Council, particularly on the part of the presiding member, the Mayor. Although the Mayor claims that there were personal attacks, there were none. Mr. Carrafa starts to speak about the business owned by the Mayor’s wife, but that’s as far as he got. The Mayor has no idea what Mr. Carrafa was going to say. This is one way the City of Tombstone is trying to ignore the rights of it’s citizens and business owners. Sound like something else going on in a much larger scale statewide as well as nationally?

HR 3200…HR PufnStuf. Both Fiction!

I don’t know about you but I’ve had enough of the whole HR 3200 controversy. The entire, so called, Health Resolution Act is nothing but an other way for “Big” Government to just get bigger.
Look for audio Proclamations coming soon to go over some of the larger issues of HR 3200.

The Unmaking of Tombstone

The Tombstone City Council has done it again. After reading this article, you have to ask yourself what their intention is. What is it that they’re trying to accomplish? Not only does this ordinance still sound unconstitutional, even though they evaluated the “risk” of the wording, it’s going to take away from the “feel” of the town. Visitors expect to see historically dressed people all over town, not just at the far ends of the historical district. I have to ask myself, once again, what is it they’re trying to get done.

A fan of the site, Nancy from New Mexico, sent this video to us. Seems a friend of hers in Atlanta was throwing a Tea Party. Her friend asked her teenage son to help make a commercial for the Tea Party. After about an hour, he returned with this video. After watching it, you have to say “Wow!”; even our children can see what’s happening to our country. Thanks Nancy for sending this in!

Why Say Anything at All?

What is the world is Obama talking about? Since when does 1 – 1.5% of the United States constitute a Muslim nation? Why would the President of the United States even want to state that we’re a Muslim nation…why is there a necessity to even say such comments? I know he was giving an interview to a French tv station, so perhaps it’s more of the “Whack a Patriot” game he likes to play. Here’s are a few brief snippets that shows just how Obama is trying to mold our country. First he states, we’re not a Christian nation but then states we are a Muslim nation. Really? Really!

Exactly what was the FAA and the Obama administration thinking when they decided it was a good idea to fly a 747 over Manhattan? Does 911 mean nothing to them? The FAA will tell you that they told local authorities; however, the locals were told this was classified information and to tell no one. Neither the Mayor nor Governor of New York were told anything about this.
How insensitive and stupid can the Obamanation be? If this is any indication of what’s to come, then I for one am worried. It’s time to step up and call it what it is…stupid! Be heard. This story received about 3 days of airplay on the news, but this is bigger than that. I’m sure some of you are asking…how? Well, just think on it a minute. If our government can authorize a 747 plane to fly low over NY without very little to no one knowing about it, what does that suggest about issues that aren’t so noticeable?
One thing I know about is distraction; if you don’t want one hand to no what the other is doing, then do something outrageous in the one hand that takes your mind off the other. It’s time to keep a watchful eye on “Big Brother”. I believe this “incident” is only the beginning.
